A2 Black Student Union
BSU (Black Student Union) is a student run organization brought back to life by Ms. Ebone´ Copeland in 2017 at Pioneer High School. We promote change in our school as well as in our community. Our organization strives to serve and represent the many minority high school students through a series of cultural, social and academic focused programming. The purpose of BSU is to promote activities of common interest as we strive to share with the Ann Arbor/Ypsi community elements of the black experience. A2 BSU consists of 60+ students of all grades, 9-12. Membership is open for the 24/25 school year. Join us!

A2 BSU Mission
The purpose of A2 Black Student Union (BSU) is to create more diverse activities for the student body, raise awareness and promote a more positive image of Black/African-American students. In addition, A2 BSU strives to build on our rich history and promote individuals as leaders in the community by having the membership reach for and achieve academic excellence. We recognize the need for positive role models in an age when it is most needed. A2 BSU will do everything possible to provide this for all students.
